Summer Marketing Photos

My office normally slows down in May and June as my patients go on vacation so I need to increase my marketing frequency at this time. This means I needed some new photos for my summer marketing campaign. I decided last week to take some shots of Courtney, the current Miss New Orleans, with more of her body the way Mike Barr and Norm Hueffner take theirs. She is one of my patients. My shots are usually closer and tighter. Close and tight are called “head shots”. From the waist up are usually referred to as “bust shots”. Do not make fun as that is what photographers call them. I still like to go outside to take my shots, especially for summer and spring ads. I took about 100 shots in 30 minutes. When you take shots like these you do not need a flash. Notice how I have different lighting effects and skin tones just from having her stand in different positions. Have your model/patient move into and out of the direct sunlight. Take them from different angles. I like these shots but I have not made any ads with them yet.

Anyone can take shots like these. It is sooooooo simple. And you do not need a bunch of equipment and technical knowledge. If you have a team member that has every looked at a women’s magazine then she knows all she needs to know about marketing photos. We teach you how to take these types of marketing shots as well as all the clinical and case presentation photos at the genX courses. Certainly the clinical stuff is important, but your digital camera can help you sell cases externally as well as internally. I am not claiming our course is better than anyone else. I think every course has value and over time you should attend as many as you can.
