Who Is Taking Your New Patient Phone Calls???

July 5th, 2005 · No Comments

It is a question I ask practices all the time. New patient no show rates are tied directly , in my opinion, to how the inital call is being handled. I would never want the person who handles the checking in and out of patients, scheduling, collecting and fielding phone calls, to be the same person who is trying to create great happenings on the phone with a “New” patient. The person working the front line in most dental practices is already stretched too thin to have the valuable time it takes to field and screen “New” patient phone calls. Delegate that to a person on your Team who has the flexability to spend time creating a relationship on the phone with the “New” patient before they ever enter your office. “new” patients who have an established relationship with a member of your Team never miss appointments, they already value what your practice is about and care too much to not show.
