New ownership of The Dawson Center was announced at the Midwinter Conference last Friday. I, John Cranham, am now Director of Education; Joe Forest is CEO; Glen DuPont is Director of Faculty; Henry Gremillions is Director of Operations; and Lee Culp is Director of Technology. Dr. Peter Dawson will stay on as faculty and adviser. In a related announcement, The Dawson Foundation is a new, charitable organization that promotes ethical standards in dentistry, The Dawson Foundation will host free educational programs, possibly a conference, to introduce new dentists to ethical standards for diagnosis and treatment planning. The Foundation will also fund dental trips to third world countries to help patients who would not otherwise have access to dental care. Dr. Dawson personally donated $500K to the organization. Witt Wilkerson is overseeing The Dawson Foundation.
