dental schoolsSeptember 30, 2009 – Tallahassee, Florida: The Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology has recently partnered with The Pankey Institute to create high quality online education courses for the entire dental team. These courses are patterned after some of The Pankey Institute’s postgraduate level presentations and will be available online at The Foundation’s website in early October. Each course is approved by AGD (Academy of General Dentistry), ADA (American Dental Association) and NBC (National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology) for continuing education credit.

Both The Foundation and The Pankey Institute believe in the importance of dentists and dental technicians learning together and through these programs it is our goal to provide convenient, high quality dental education.

The Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization which was started by the National Association of Dental Laboratories in 2008, for the express purpose of supporting education. Our commitment is to make dental and dental laboratory technology education available to every interested member of the dental team.

For more information on The Foundation, please contact The Foundation for
Dental Laboratory Technology at (866)627-3990 or foundation@dentallabfoundation.org.

I think it’s really important that clinicians and dentists learn together and this is a great way for the two halves of the apple as it were to develop a new understanding of what makes the other tick. Good idea and here’s hoping that this will set a new precedent.
