Tips on Adding Digital Radiography

September 21st, 2005 · No Comments

It’s important to make sure all the components you purchase are compatible with each other.
Look at the core competency of the vendor you’re considering. Is digital radiography their main focus? The people who focus on digital radiography do so for a reason, just as those who focus on practice management do so for a reason.

I got a heads up today on future cell cell phone technology today.  If you have been tempted to get a Blackberry or a Treo phone, you may want to wait until the first quarter of 2006.  New phones and wireless speeds will leap past today’s technology by a quantum leap.  Rumour has it that […]

Pulp Capping: Direct and Indirect

September 21st, 2005 · No Comments

During the last ten years, there has been considerable discussion by practitioners regarding pulp capping. Traditionally, dental schools have recommended that calcium hydroxide (Dycal, Life etc.) was the best agent for capping exposed pulps. In recent years, Dr. Charles Cox (1993) formerly at the University of Alabama conducted a clinical study using monkeys to re-evaluate […]

No More Security Keys!!

Dentrix Summit

September 21st, 2005 · No Comments

The Dentrix meeting was a lot of fun, and I even learned some things. Dentrix actually took us on various expeditions. I went on a marvelous hike and tour of a cave and then up to Stewart Falls above Sundance. I not only learned about Dentrix, I learned a lot about my fellow hikers, Sally McKenzie, Dan Croley, Mike Razzano and Lorne Lavine. For example, Lorne was sand-bagging, he is an experienced mountain climber who has been on some of the world’s most famous climbs. And Sally McKenzie isn’t just a pretty face. More on Sally’s adventures in the woods later. I also learned that hiking at 7,000 feet is a lot harder than hiking at low elevations.

Top 25 Dental Products -Template

September 19th, 2005 · No Comments

This is absolutely the best material to make a matrix for provisional restorations. Many dentists use alginate, putty, or a vacuum-form matrix. These techniques either compromise time or accuracy.  Template makes a very accurate quadrant template and sets in 30 seconds with no flash. It is dispensed in a 50 ml cartridge that fits any […]
