Rumors have it that Canon will announce soon the release of it newest camera, the Canon EOS 5D. This is a whopping 13.0 MP full frame camera (digic II CMOS sensor). It is reported to shoot 3fps of raw data frames. Certainly not a sports photography camera. It will have AF 9pt. metering. The LCD is 2.5 inches. A rugged magnesium body that looks similiar to the 20D. I estimate the cost at approximately 4000 grand, about half the cost of the 1dsMarkII. As soon as Canon officially announces its release, I will review it new features. If you are a sports photographer then this is not the camera for you. I would stick with the 1dMarkII or the 20D.
