IMG_2063IMG_2065Nothing is harder than matching a single anterior crown with natural teeth.  Of the three components of color, hue, chroma, and value, value is the one that will be most noticeable if off.  Hue is the wavelength of light or the color, e.g. red, green.  Chroma is the saturation or intensity of a color, e.g. rose to dark red.  Value is the brightness or darkness of the color.

So, a Black and White image will give us information on relative value.  The Canon 20D will allow us to take images in Black and White in stead of having to convert to Black and White with software. Note how flash excentuates that there is too much texture on the crown.
